Facilities for Visitors

Wheelchair Access

The main entrance, box office, exhibition, and shop are all step-free. Lifts provide access to all levels. Both the Globe Theatre and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse have dedicated wheelchair spaces. The guided tour route is fully accessible.

Accessible Toilets

Accessible toilets are located on the Piazza level and the Lecture Theatre level.

Parking

There are two accessible parking spaces available on-site, which must be booked in advance by calling the Access Information Line. These are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

We offer a range of services to enhance your visit.

Hearing Support

Induction loops are installed in both theatres and at the Box Office. Captioned and BSL-interpreted performances are scheduled throughout the season.

Visual Support

Audio-described performances and touch tours are available for select productions. Large-print versions of materials can be requested.

Relaxed Performances

These are designed for people who benefit from a more relaxed environment, including those with autism spectrum conditions or sensory and communication disorders.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the site. Please inform the Box Office when booking so they can arrange appropriate seating.

How do I book access tickets?
It is recommended to book access tickets by calling the dedicated Access Information Line at +44 (0)20 7902 1409 or by joining the theatre's Access Scheme online for discounts and easier booking.
Are there discounts for disabled visitors and their companions?
Yes, discounts are available. Patrons who join the Access Scheme are eligible for price adjustments. Please see our free & reduced tickets page for more information.
Can I use a mobility scooter in the theatre?
Mobility scooters cannot be taken into the auditoriums. You can transfer to one of the Globe's wheelchairs or walk to your seat.
